Being healthy is not jogging and eating salads.. it's this...

Being healthy is not eating a salad and going for a jog.  

 

Everything you do - EVERYTHING YOU DO - impacts your health.

 

Yes - exercise makes your body healthy. But if your mind is lazy (which is an unhealthy state) you won't be consistent with your exercise. 

 

Yes - eating a nutritious salad will positively contribute to your health. But eating a salad doesn't mean you are healthy. You could eat a salad every day while being surrounded by dysfunctional relationships, in a job you hate, without life goals and motivation. You could be the unhappiest person in the world but if you eat salad does it mean you can say you're healthy still? No.

 

So what is real health?


Health is holistic. Everything is connected and impacts your health and wholeness.

 

It's true - you have to exercise to be healthy.

 

It's also true that you have to eat well to be healthy. But that's not it - it's not just diet and exercise.

 

To truly live a healthy lifestyle you need a positive purpose in life. Once you have that - you need to enjoy working for that purpose!

 

When you have a purpose everything you do will be to serve that purpose - from there, a healthy life can be built.

 

You will exercise regularly because you want longevity. You'll want to live longer not because you're afraid of dying but because you have a reason to live. You'll also notice that you feel amazing when you exercise regularly.

 

You will eat good food not because "that's what healthy people do" but because it fuels your body and you feel better when you eat nutritious food. (I still love you Oreos).

 

You will realise that how you spend your time is important and so you'll stop wasting it on things/people/places that don't serve your positive purpose.

 

You will notice that having the right support network in your life helps make your life more positive. You'll see that negative people who doubt you and discourage you have no place in a healthy life.

 

You will find having the right people in your life is a giant source of your happiness. Having real, positive human connections will change your life. Because of this you will surround yourself with the right people and when I say "right people" I mean people that are honest, generous, hard working and (most importantly) kind.

 

You'll notice how much better your day is when you surround yourself with people who have positive attributes. Because you will feed off their positivity and success. When I say "feed" I don't mean it in a way that they are being drained of their positivity.  Positivity is like a fire it is unlimited how big or small it is. 

 

Imagine - if fire is positivity then people are like candlesticks. A positive environment is the same as a lit candle that lights a second candle. The second candle doesn't "drain" the first candle of it's fire, the "fire" (positivity) just spreads. The second candle is just inspired by the first candle. A true healthy positive environment works the same way.
